Kerry & Peter’s Watermouth Cove wedding in North Devon

Kerry & Peter chose Watermouth Cove for their North Devon wedding, a private coastal venue with its own beach, pool and on-site accommodation.

Their plan was clear from the start. Three days with their friends and family, time by the sea, and a relaxed wedding that felt more like a holiday than a formal event.

They originally looked at getting married abroad, but needed somewhere in the UK that gave the same experience. Watermouth Cove gave them that. Sea views, space to stay together, and the ability to turn the whole weekend into one long celebration.

About Watermouth Cove | North Devon wedding venue

Kerry & Peter’s wedding at Watermouth Cove

From the start, Kerry & Peter wanted their wedding to feel like a long weekend with their closest people. This wedding was all about family and friends being in one place to celebrate.

The ceremony took place overlooking the sea, at Watermouth Cove’s iconic viewpoint, with everyone gathered close and the soft sounds of the ocean in the background.

The evening moved straight into a full party. No long gaps or resets, just a steady build from dinner into dancing – exactly what they had planned from the beginning. A large, relaxed celebration with the people that mattered most.

Best photo and video opportunities at Watermouth Cove

Watermouth Cove gives you multiple locations across one venue, which is why it works well for both photography and film.

  • Clifftop ceremony area
Open sea views, works well for wide shots and reactions
  • Private beach and caves
Good for candid moments, wedding party photos, and quieter time away from the main group
  • Woodland Barn and surrounding areas
Used for the main reception and evening, with movement between indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Pool and accommodation areas
Useful for pre and post-wedding moments across the weekend

Because everything is on-site, the day flows without needing to move locations.

For couples wanting Watermouth Cove candid wedding photos, this setup allows moments to happen naturally across the day without needing to stage anything.

Why photo and video matters at Watermouth Cove

At Watermouth Cove, the wedding isn’t limited to one part of the day.

It’s the full weekend. Guests arriving, time by the pool, movement between the beach and main spaces, and moments happening across different areas at the same time.

A lot of this isn’t scheduled.

Our approach as a Watermouth Cove wedding photographer and videographer is to organise the key moments, then step back.

This allows us to capture Watermouth Cove candid wedding photos and video that reflect how the day actually unfolded, rather than something staged.

What Kerry & Peter said about working with us:

“Amy and Nick are the complete dream team and are genuinely incredible at what they do. From our first contact to now, they’ve been so present and thoughtful, and everyone at our wedding felt instantly at ease around them, including my children, who they made it fun and easy for.

Amy was like the bridesmaid I never knew I needed, organised, supportive, and quietly making sure every tiny detail was just right, while capturing every moment along the way. Nick was calm, laid-back, and made everything feel natural rather than staged.

They both have this amazing ability to blend into the background when it matters, while still being there to gently guide you. They truly helped us create some of our favourite moments of the day.”
