Watermouth Cove Wedding Photos and Video | Simon & Charlotte’s Family Wedding

Why Watermouth Cove is Devon’s best wedding venue:

There are venues that look beautiful… and then there are venues that completely change how a wedding feels.

Watermouth Cove is one of those places.

Tucked along the North Devon coast, it’s private, immersive, and built for more than just a single day. With sea views, its own beach, a pool, and space for everyone to stay together, it naturally turns weddings into full weekend experiences.

This is genuinely our favourite venue to capture weddings – Not only does the venue have an incredible location AND look incredible – but Zoe, Georgia, and the whole team that work behind the scenes are wonderful humans.

Pre-wedding party overlooking the sea

Simon & Charlotte’s wedding was a 3-day event, beginning with a welcome party overlooking the ocean

Drinks flowing, music playing, kids running around, and everyone easing into that relaxed, holiday energy that Watermouth does so well.

This is one of the biggest things we always notice with weddings here. By the time the actual wedding day arrives, people aren’t just turning up – They’re already relaxed and that changes everything.

The wedding day

The wedding day was another beautifully sunny day:

Sunshine, sea views, and that calm excitement that builds as everyone gets ready together.

With their three children by their side, Simon & Charlotte’s day felt deeply personal. Not just a celebration of the two of them, but of their family as a whole.

Their ceremony took place on the iconic viewpoint, and Simon & Charlotte shared personal vows that had their guests laughing and crying tears of happiness.

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour unfolded exactly how it should. Drinks in hand, hugs flying in from every direction, and that just-married buzz in the air.

We dipped down to the beach for group photos, keeping it quick, relaxed, and fun – nothing stiff, nothing staged. Just everyone together, celebrating.

Post-wedding pool party

After a wild night of celebrating, Simon, Charlotte, and their guests headed to Watermouth Cove’s pool for a chilled-out party. Daniel Constin (who by the way, is highly recomended by us!) supplied the tunes on his saxophone whilst everybody danced off their hangovers. This really was the perfect way to end the weekend.

Why Sunday Love should be your Watermouth Cove wedding photographer and videographer

Back in 2020, when Watermouth just became a wedding venue was when we first started our business and we were fortunate enough to be the photographer on their very first wedding!

Last year we celebrated capturing our 23rd wedding at Watermouth and we can confidently say we know this place inside out. We know exactly where the sun sets so we can get you the best golden hour photos. We know when the best tide times are so we can get those beach shots of your dreams, and we’ve worked so closely with the Watermouth team over the years that we call the Penny family our dearest friends.

We’d be so honoured to add your wedding day to our Watermouth Wall of Fame and can’t wait to see how you put your own personal spin on this wedding venue of dreams!

We’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
